# Getting Started FAQ

> Quick answers to the things customers ask us most.

  <Accordion title="Do I need to finish Company Setup before I can start real work?">
    No. Company Setup isn't a one-off task. Most workspaces start with their company details and core registration tasks, then come back to add products, key roles and groups as things change. See [Company set up](/getting-started/company-set-up).

  <Accordion title="What if we don't have a formal DPO yet?">
    Assign a data protection lead instead, on the **Key Roles** tab. Plenty of early-stage companies don't have a formal Data Protection Officer ([DPO](/assuric-overview/glossary#abbreviations)), and that's fine. What matters is recording who holds accountability for the area. See [Company set up](/getting-started/company-set-up).

  <Accordion title="I invited someone and they say they never got the email">
    The invite is tied to the exact email address you entered. Check the address on their record matches the one they're checking, then resend if needed. See [Inviting people](/getting-started/inviting-people).

  <Accordion title="Which permission level should I give someone who only needs to do their own training and checklists?">
    *Staff portal only*. It has no access to the Assuric dashboard, just the staff portal, where they complete checklists and training and can report incidents. See [Inviting people](/getting-started/inviting-people).

  <Accordion title="Can I sign in with something other than Google or an emailed code?">
    Yes. If your organisation uses a different identity provider, custom single sign-on can be arranged. It isn't a self-service toggle, so get in touch with the Assuric team. See [Authentication](/settings/access-and-security).

  <Accordion title="Should I invite everyone before or after setting up roles and groups?">
    Set up roles and groups first. An account invited with no group or role attached is easy to lose track of, and awkward to redo once 40 people have already joined. See [People: Overview](/people/key-capabilities).
